I have recently discovered PSK31, and have found that at the bottom of the sunspot cycle it is ideal for working dx with a very modest station / antenna combination. As i write this i am upto around 400 contacts, which nowhere near enough to be classed as experienced in this mode. I am most impressed with the waterfall and now have a much better grasp of propagation when you can see it changing on the waterfall over the course of an evenings operation.
Best DX in PSK31 is southern Argentina at approximatly 11,500km, not bad with an inverted "L" antenna and around 50w.
Advice: spend lots of time listening to the to and fro of lots of PSK contacts and also spend sometime modifying your macro's to be as concise as possible and also to suit you prefered way of operating. I think i actually spend more time massaging the content of my macro's than operating!
