Main antenna is a inverted L design using a 7m glass fibre fishing rod with approximatly 7m vertical & 7m horizontal upto the chimney on the house. The earth side of it is 4 x 1.5m earth rods linked back to the ground terminal on a CG antenna CG3000 auto ATU (Similar to the SGC products but cheaper).
Idea's for the future:
- Fixed Moxon or VK2ABQ antenna pointed at the states / caribbean
- Vertical 20m Moxon rectangle on a rotator at the bottom of the garden, need outline planning permision from the XYL before doing this.
- Hexbeam (Steve has talked me in to it). Obviously the wide bandwidth version homebrewed.
- Also really fance having a go with a balloon lifted antenna, just so the neighbours will be convinced that I really am mad.
